The fifth death -- Dead Alone

DEAD AlONE
By André Grandier
There he was, trying to concentrate on that blank piece of paper Raul Valdez couldn't concentrate, he just couldn't, only think about what Alisson had told him the story of that ghost girl who had died -or better say- murdered, that girl who had bled to death without anyone to help her, someone had cut her throat, and now she wandered around school seeking for revenge. Suddenly Ral --as his friends called him-- shook his head as if trying to shake away those thoughts.
"If only I had done all my schoolwork at the time, I wouldn’t have to be here"  muttered Ral to himself. “But no, I had to spend most of my time trying to improve my time running instead of studying”.
Ral was an 18 year old college boy with short, shaggy dusky hair. His bronze-colored eyes were big and expresive and contrasted nicely with his creamy white skin. He had to stay at the school’s library to study for his English Literature final test. The teacher had given him just one day, a last chance to study everything he had missed, so he stayed late. By the time he had finished, it was already dark outside. The library was so well illuminated that he could see nothing but darkness beyond the door. Ral decided then it was time to go, he gathered up his books and stepped out from the safe illuminated and warm library to the cold, thrilling and frightening darkness." it's not that bad".Ral thought . The Nebraska University was big so it was at least a 5 minute walk to the Main Entrance where his car was pulled.
But, why does it have to be so dark? .Ral groaned. Suddenly the story of the ghost girl popped again into his mind. He felt a sudden thrill roll down his spine as he touched his own throat, then he heard something.
Was his imagination? Or was somebody following him?
He stopped and listened, but heard nothing but his own breath.
"It is nothing, just your crazy imagination", Ral assured himself and kept walking, but then again he heard it, as soft as the wind.
   "Raaal..." it whispered .
Ral felt his heart pumping hard in his chest and the hot blood running through his whole body.
There is someone following me ... run!! He commanded himself.
Ral started to run as fast as he could pumping his arms hard . He headed to the parking lot and when He got there stopped to catch his breath.
"If only I had ran like this during Track and Field I would have probably won a scholarship " Ral thought. Breathlessly, he tried to open the door of his car, but dropped the keys . He bended to pick them up and heard it again but this time, closer. Ral was frozen in fear and was sweating cold. She forced his  trembling right hand into a fist and decided to face his attacker, but when he turned around he stood frozen in horror as he saw a floating - almost transparent - girl in a cheerleader uniform covered in blood. Ral felt his heart stopping; his scream was caught up in his throat, his legs felt weak. He gasped as something cold and sharp touched his throat, then he felt it, first the hot liquid roll down his chest and then the excruciating pain. He lowered his gaze to see the blood flow as a river. He dropped on his knees.
Oh...my neck, someone has cut my neck! . He felt himself fell into a puddle of his own blood as he muttered helplessly
"Help, anyone...help!". He spun his hand around looking for something that might save him, but all he found were his keys.
THE END
